An intensive nine-day program introducing non-U.S. participants to U.S. Legal English and, in particular, to those terms and usages most relevant and useful to a non-U.S. lawyer or law professional.  Participants often go on to complete the “U.S. Legal Methods: Introduction to U.S. Law” program, which begins immediately after the Legal English program.

U.S. Legal Methods: Introduction to U.S. Law
July 29 - August 12, 2017; Washington, D.C.>> REGISTRATION DETAILS
A new condensed format for our annual four-week certificate program will provide all of the same class hours, subjects, and extra-curricular activities but in a more precise, intense and efficient format, thus allowing completion of the program in just two weeks instead of four. The program is open to non-U.S. lawyers, legal professionals and law students. Topics covered include all major aspects of U.S. law and the U.S. legal system. Participants from this course return to the practice of law in their respective countries with a better understanding of U.S. law and the ability to work better with U.S. lawyers, law firms and government agencies. Others go on to graduate (LL.M. or S.J.D.) study at top U.S. law schools. This program begins during the evening of July 29, after the conclusion of IUSLAW's U.S. Legal English program.
